Choose which notifications you get
Decide how often email reaches you, and which notifications arrive in IQ Entities, by email, or both.
Screenshots are retaken from IQ Entities on every release. Updated 14 October 2026.
A notification that arrives for everything gets ignored, and then the one that matters is missed. Set yours so that the bell and your inbox carry the things you act on: a deadline coming up for your companies, a task assigned to you. These are your own settings; they do not change what your colleagues receive.
Choose how often email arrives
Open Settings from the menu under your name at the foot of the sidebar, then choose Notifications.
Under How often, open the choice of how often to send email.
Choose As it happens, A daily summary or A weekly summary.
For a summary, choose the hour it arrives, and for a weekly one the day as well. Urgent notices, such as an escalated deadline or a rejected filing, are always sent straight away and are not held for the summary.
| You want | Choose |
|---|---|
| Every notice in your inbox as it happens | As it happens |
| One email to read with your first coffee | A daily summary, at the hour you start |
| A round-up for a light-touch role, such as a non-executive | A weekly summary |
Choose what reaches you
Further down, each area of the product has its own section, with an In app and an Email switch on every line.
Turn a switch off to stop that notification arriving that way. The switch at the top of a section, Everything in followed by the section's name, turns the whole section on or off; you can still switch single lines back on afterwards.
Changes are saved as you make them.
A line marked with a padlock has been decided by your organisation, for example Required by your organisation. Its switch is greyed out, and only an administrator can change it.
Tips from practice
- Keep A deadline is coming up on by email if you own filings. It is the reminder that arrives before the date, not after.
- If you muted a subject, it is listed under Muted at the foot of the page with an Unmute button.
- Administrators decide who is told about what across the organisation in Choose who hears about what.
