See what is due across the group

Read the Compliance Calendar to see every outstanding deadline in the group, what each row and colour means, and what has closed.

Screenshots are retaken from IQ Entities on every release. Updated 14 October 2026.

The Compliance Calendar is where the group's deadlines are worked from. Almost nothing on it is typed in by hand: a task appears when an entity owes a duty and its reminder period opens, or when something is recorded that starts a clock, such as a new director. Start here on a Monday morning, or whenever someone asks what is late.

Read the calendar

  1. Open Compliance Calendar from the sidebar. A red dot beside it means the calendar holds open tasks. The four counts at the top say how many tasks are Open, Overdue, Due soon and Completed.

  2. Read the list from the top. It opens on outstanding work, grouped by when it is due: Past due first, then Due today, Next 7 days, Next 30 days, Later and No due date. The number beside each heading counts its tasks.

  3. Narrow the list with the search box, the status filter, Type and Priority. Assigned to me shows only the tasks that are yours. See Narrow the calendar to the work you need.

  4. Click a task's name to open it. See Open a task and see what raised it.

What the counts mean

Count What it holds
Open Every task still owed: open, in progress or blocked
Overdue Open tasks whose statutory deadline has passed
Due soon Open tasks due today or in the next 14 days
Completed Tasks that are done. Cancelled and deleted tasks are not counted here

Read a row

Each row is one task: its name, the Entity it is for, its Type, the Due date, its Priority, Status and Assignee.

  • Auto beside the name means the task was raised by a recurring duty. Triggered means something recorded started it, such as an appointment. Neither means it was added by hand.
  • Needs approval beside the name means a filing was prepared and is waiting for a person to approve it before it is sent.
  • A due date in red, with the number of days overdue beneath it, is a statutory deadline that has passed. A task under Past due with its date in grey has an advisory date: IQ Entities set it as a reminder, and missing it is not a breach.
  • A padlock beside a due date or a status means the schedule owns it rather than you. See Move a task to a new date.

See the month

  1. Choose the Calendar tab to see the same tasks on their due dates.

  2. Move between months with the arrows, or choose Today to come back. A day shows up to three tasks, then a line such as +2 more for the rest. A red dot marks a task that is overdue or blocked. Click a task to open it.

The month view shows the tasks that already exist. For the deadlines further ahead, which are not tasks yet, use the Forecast calendar.

Find what has closed

  1. Choose the History tab. A badge on the tab counts the tasks that closed since you last looked, when someone else or IQ Entities closed them.

  2. Each closed task shows the date it closed in the Closed column. Done, cancelled and deleted tasks all land here, so the outstanding list only holds work still owed. See Look back at what was done.

One entity at a time

Open an entity and choose Calendar under Compliance in its sidebar. The page is the same, filtered to that entity, without the Entity column, and New task adds the task to that entity. Its tasks open without leaving the entity. To move between one entity and the whole group, see Work on one entity or the whole group.
