Invite a colleague
Send a colleague an invitation with the role they need, and follow it until they have signed in.

A new paralegal starts on Monday, or the group's finance director needs to see the registers before the year-end. Inviting them from Administration gives them a seat in your organisation with a role you choose, so they see what that role allows and nothing more. The question that decides the invitation is which role they need: what they will do, and across which companies.
Open the Members page
Click your name at the foot of the main sidebar.
Choose Administration. It opens on Members, the list of everyone in the organisation and the roles each of them holds. You see Administration only if your role includes managing the organisation's settings.
Send the invitation
Click Invite member.
Enter their Email, add their name if you like, and choose a Role. The box beneath the role says what they will reach: every company in the organisation, or a number of companies when the role is limited to a group, and how many permissions come with it.
Click Send invite. They receive an email with a link, and join the organisation with that role the first time they sign in with the same email address.
| Their work | Role to choose |
|---|---|
| Runs the organisation's settings, its people and their access | Administrator |
| Keeps the registers, people, documents and tasks up to date, without deleting records | Editor |
| Reads the records and runs reports, changing nothing | Member |
| Works on a limited set of companies | A role of your own, limited to their entity group |
Follow the invitation
Open the Invitations tab. Its count is the number of invitations sent from this organisation.
Each invitation shows its Status: pending until they sign in, then accepted. Resend sends the same offer again, and the link in the earlier email stops working. Revoke withdraws it, with an optional reason that stays on the list.
Tips from practice
- Invite people to the address they will sign in with. An invitation sent to a personal address cannot be accepted from a work account.
- Choose the narrowest role that covers the work. Adding a role later takes one click, while access given too widely cannot be taken back from what someone has already seen.
- When an invitation has sat at pending for a week, resend it rather than sending a second one: only the newest link works.
- Record why you revoke an invitation. The reason answers the question a year later, when nobody remembers.
