Narrow the calendar to the work you need

Search and filter the Compliance Calendar by status, type, priority and owner, so the list holds only the tasks you came for.

Screenshots are retaken from IQ Entities on every release. Updated 14 October 2026.

A group of any size has more open tasks than anyone reads in one go. Most visits to the calendar ask a narrower question: what is mine this week, which filings are outstanding, what is blocked and why. The filters answer those questions without changing anything for your colleagues.

You want Use
Your own list for the day Assigned to me
Every filing still to be made Type, then Filing
Work that is stuck the status filter, then Blocked
One company's tasks search for its name, or open the entity's own Calendar
Everything, closed tasks included the status filter, then All statuses

Search for a task

  1. Type in Search tasks… at the top of the list. It matches the task's name and the name of its entity, so a company name finds all of that company's tasks. The list narrows as you type, and the count at the right of the toolbar says how many tasks match.

  2. Clear the box to see the whole list again.

Filter by status

  1. Open the status filter. It reads Outstanding when the page opens.

  2. Choose a status. Outstanding is every task still owed. All statuses adds the closed ones. Open, In progress, Blocked, Done and Cancelled show that status alone.

The History tab has no status filter, because it holds only closed tasks; see Look back at what was done.

Filter by type or priority

  1. Choose Type.

  2. Tick one or more types: General, Filing, Renewal, Governance, KYC, Document or Meeting. Each one you tick is added to the list.

  3. The button shows how many types are ticked, and the list holds only those tasks. Priority works the same way, with Low, Normal, High and Urgent. Choose Clear beside the filters to remove them all.

See only your own tasks

  1. Choose Assigned to me.

  2. The list holds the tasks assigned to you by name. Choose Assigned to me again to switch it off.

Tips from practice

  • The filters stay on while you move between List and Calendar, so a filtered month view is one click away.
  • Type and Priority follow their columns. If an administrator hides the Type column, its filter goes too; see Choose the calendar columns.
  • A task assigned to a team you belong to is not under Assigned to me, which shows only the tasks assigned to you by name.
  • To split the deadlines by jurisdiction or by the law behind them, use the Forecast; see Split the deadlines by owner, jurisdiction or law.
