Connect the Hong Kong Companies Registry

Connect your organisation's presentor account once, so NR1 and ND2A filings for Hong Kong companies go out from IQ Entities.

Screenshots are retaken from IQ Entities on every release. Updated 14 October 2026.

For a group with Hong Kong subsidiaries, IQ Entities prepares the change of registered office (NR1) and the appointment or cessation of a director or secretary (ND2A), and has the Companies Registry check them. Each filing then waits in your presentor's e-Services e-Drive for the signatory to sign and submit, so no signatory's password passes through IQ Entities.

Filings go out under your organisation's own presentor account. An administrator with the permission to manage the organisation's settings connects it once, and it covers every Hong Kong company you file for.

Before you start

  • A presentor account on the Companies Registry's e-Services Portal: an Individual user account subscribed to e-Filing.
  • That account registered for TPSI, under Filing › TPSI › TPSI Client Registration on the portal, with a TPSI password. It is separate from the login password.
  • Each company's Business Registration number, the first eight digits, recorded as the registration number on its home Hong Kong registration: see Add a registration.

Connect the presentor account

  1. In Administration, open Integrations and click the Hong Kong Companies Registry tile.

  2. Click Registry account. How filing works beside it lists the set-up steps and every form offered, with the documents each needs.

  3. Enter the Presentor e-Services user ID and the TPSI password, and click Save. The credentials are checked with the registry before they are saved, then encrypted and never shown again. A pair the registry refuses is not saved.

Check it is working

  1. The panel says Connected, with the presentor it files as.

  2. Open a Hong Kong company's Registrations page. The File with Hong Kong Companies Registry card lists the forms and says which account it files under.

The filing itself is in File with a registry outside the UK.

Change or disconnect the account

  • To replace the credentials, click Registry account and enter the new ones.
  • To stop filing, click Disconnect. The stored credentials are forgotten, and filings already made keep their history.

Tips from practice

  • The registry expires the TPSI password every 180 days. Put the date in the calendar, and enter the new password under Registry account when it changes.
  • Whoever signs, a director, the company secretary or an authorised person, needs their own e-Services account linked to the company. A new director consents by signing the ND2A, so set theirs up before the appointment is filed.
  • e-Drive holds at most 20 drafts. Have signatories clear what is waiting before you prepare a batch.
  • Filings go to the registry's live service and onto the public register.
