Fill in what a filing still needs
Use a filing task's Needed to file card to complete the record before the form can go to the registry.

A filing task builds its form from your records, so a gap in the record is a gap in the form. Rather than let the filing fail at the registry, the task lists what is missing at the top, and the button that files stays held until the list is empty. Work through the list before you think about the form.
Read what is missing
Open the filing task. The Needed to file card, marked Required before filing, says how many items must be filled in and lists each one with the person or record it belongs to.
Fix each item where it says. Fill in opens a field on the task itself; Fix it takes you to the record where the missing fact is kept, such as the person's profile.
The Recommended card, where there is one, lists details the filing can go without but is more complete with.
Check the filing is free
While anything is listed, the filing buttons are held with Fill in the required information first. beside them. Clicking one brings you back to the list.
When the list is empty the card disappears and the form can be reviewed and filed. Filing it is covered in File a form from its task.
Tips from practice
- Fix the record, not the form. A director's personal code recorded on their profile is there for every later filing; typed into one form it is lost.
- An item that reads Ask someone with personal-data access to add this. needs a colleague who can see personal details, such as a date of birth. Assign the task to them; see Assign tasks to people and teams.
- For a director's personal code, see Record a director's personal code.
- The paperwork the filing rests on is a separate card; see Prepare the documents for a task.
