Give your team standard insight columns
Save the questions your team asks across the portfolio as column templates anyone can add to an insight.

An insight is a grid over the portfolio: the entities, people or documents down the side, and a column for each question IQ answers. Teams ask the same questions again and again (governing law, change of control, the date of the last accounts), and asked in different words they give answers that do not compare. A column template fixes the wording once, so every insight that uses it asks the question the same way.
Create a column template
Click your name at the foot of the main sidebar, choose Administration, then Insight Templates, and click New template.
Give it a Name, the short reference for the template, and a Column label, the heading people see in the grid.
Choose its Kind. An AI question has IQ read each row's documents and answer the Prompt; a Structured field shows a value already held in the register, named by its Field path.
Choose the Answer type (Text, Yes / No, Date, Number and others), what it Applies to, and a Category to group it under in the picker.
Leave Active (shown in the picker) ticked and click Create.
The template is listed with its kind, answer type and whether it is active. When anyone adds a column to an insight, it is offered under Start from a saved column.
Tips from practice
- Write the prompt as you would ask a trainee: one question, with the answer you expect. "What law governs this agreement?" answered as Text compares better than a prompt that asks for a summary.
- Use a small set of categories and keep to them. The picker filters templates by category, so a team with twenty templates finds the right one quickly.
- Untick Active (shown in the picker) to take a template out of the picker while you rework its prompt.
