Show an entity's compliance track record
Switch an entity's Obligations Overview to its Timeline to show, year by year, which duties were done on time, done late or never recorded.
Screenshots are retaken from IQ Entities on every release. Updated 14 October 2026.
Auditors, lenders, buyers in due diligence and the board itself ask the same question about a company: has it kept up with its duties, and can you show it? The Timeline on the entity's Obligations Overview answers it one year at a time, with every occurrence of every duty marked by how it turned out.
Open the Timeline
Open the entity, choose Obligations Overview under Compliance in its sidebar, and choose Timeline.
The Timeline opens on the current year. Use the arrows beside the year to step back and forward. Tracked since says when IQ Entities started holding a record for the company.
Read the year
The line above the chart sums the year up: how many occurrences were done on time, done late, are overdue, or have no record of discharge. Each duty with something recorded that year has a row, with its record across every tracked year beneath its name, such as 1 of 1 on time.
| Mark | What it means |
|---|---|
| Done on time | The task was done on or before its deadline |
| Done late | The task was done after its deadline; hover it for how many days |
| Overdue | The deadline has passed and the task is still open |
| No record of discharge | The task was cancelled: the occurrence was owed and nothing records it being done |
| Hollow grey mark | A filing the registry, such as Companies House, reports for the company |
Hover a mark to read its dates, and click one of IQ Entities' own marks to open the task. A shaded stretch is a part of the year IQ Entities was not tracking yet, or one still to come. A dashed line is a duty that starts with an event rather than on a schedule.
Tips from practice
- No record of discharge does not mean the duty was missed, only that nothing here shows it was done. Where the work was done but never recorded, put the task back from the calendar's History tab and record it, so the record is complete; see Look back at what was done.
- A mark with no evidence attached says so when you hover it. Attach the proof to the task before an auditor asks for it.
- The note under the chart counts the duties with nothing recorded that year; the Table view still lists every duty.
- What is coming is on the entity's Forecast, linked under the chart; see See an entity's year of deadlines.
