Choose the calendar columns

Sort the Compliance Calendar by a column, and choose which columns the task list shows for everyone in the organisation.

Screenshots are retaken from IQ Entities on every release. Updated 14 October 2026.

The calendar's list starts with the columns most teams need: task, entity, type, due date, priority, status and assignee. A team that reports on what raised each task, or on the law behind it, can add those columns, and every colleague then sees the same list. Sorting, by contrast, is yours alone and changes nothing for anyone else.

Sort the list

  1. Click a column heading, such as Due, to sort the list by it. Click again to reverse the order.

  2. The list is grouped under Past due, Next 7 days and the other headings only while it is sorted by due date. Sorted by anything else, it is one list.

Change the columns

Changing the columns needs the permission to manage layouts. Without it, Columns is not shown.

  1. Click Columns at the right of the toolbar.

  2. Under More columns, tick a column to show it. Type in Find a column… to find one by name. A table shows at most 20 columns.

  3. Untick a column to hide it, and drag the columns or use the arrows to reorder them. Task is always shown, first. Choose a Default order if the list should open sorted by something else.

  4. Click Save for everyone. The List and History tabs share the layout.

Column What it shows
Source What raised the task: by hand, a recurring duty, an event and so on
Requirement The statutory or house requirement the task discharges
Deadline kind Binding, where missing the date is a breach, or Advisory, a reminder date
Escalation level 1 once an overdue task has been escalated, otherwise 0
Last reminded When the assignee was last reminded
Description The task's description

Tips from practice

  • Closed only appears on the History tab, and Entity is left out in an entity's own calendar, whatever the layout says.
  • Hiding Type or Priority removes its filter too, so the list is never narrowed by something nobody can see.
  • Deadline kind is the quickest way to tell a breach from a reminder at a glance; see Deal with overdue deadlines.
  • Reset to standard puts the product's layout back. Agree a layout with the team first: everyone sees the change at once.
