Look ahead at the deadlines to come

Use the Forecast to see every deadline the group is under over the next months, including those that are not tasks yet.

Screenshots are retaken from IQ Entities on every release. Updated 14 October 2026.

The Compliance Calendar holds tasks, and most tasks only appear a few weeks before their deadline. When you plan resourcing for a quarter, agree a timetable with auditors, or warn a board about a busy month, you need the deadlines that have not turned into tasks yet. The Forecast works them out from what is recorded today and shows them beside the open tasks.

Choose the horizon

  1. Open Forecast from the sidebar, under Compliance Calendar.

  2. Choose how far ahead to look: 3, 6, 12 or 18 months. Show annual reviews adds the yearly checks on duties that have no deadline in law; switching it off narrows the lists but not the counts.

Read the busy weeks

  1. Deadlines per week splits each week into open tasks, deadlines projected but not yet a task, and annual reviews. Click a bar to list that week's deadlines below the chart.

  2. The counts above the chart say what is Overdue now, what is due in the next 30 days and how much of that is still to be raised, and which week is busiest. Click Overdue now to list the late tasks.

  3. The list under the chart groups the chosen period by duty. Change Group by to see it by assignee, jurisdiction or law and framework instead.

Compare entities

  1. Choose By entity.

  2. Each entity shows its next deadline, how many tasks are overdue, what falls in the next 30 days and in the whole horizon. Sort by Most overdue or Busiest to find the entities that need attention, and click an entity's name to open its own forecast.

Tips from practice

  • A projected deadline is not a task yet, and there is nothing to do about it today. Its task appears automatically when the duty's reminder period starts.
  • If a projected date looks wrong, check the entity's record rather than the forecast. A change of year end or incorporation date moves the projected dates with it.
  • An entity's own Forecast, under Compliance in its sidebar, lists each recurring duty once with every deadline placed on the horizon. It is the quickest way to brief a new director on what the company owes; see See an entity's year of deadlines.
  • The Calendar tab shows the same deadlines month by month, which suits a timetable sent to an auditor; see Plan a month on the Forecast calendar.
  • To share the work out, group the period by assignee, jurisdiction or law instead of by duty; see Split the deadlines by owner, jurisdiction or law.
