Save a prompt for your team

Keep the questions your team asks IQ every month in the prompt library, with blanks filled from the page you ask on.

Screenshots are retaken from IQ Entities on every release. Updated 14 October 2026.

The best questions for IQ get asked again: the monthly deadlines check, the preparation for each board meeting, the control question for a KYC request. Saving them in the prompt library means nobody has to remember the wording that worked, and everyone in the team asks the same question in the same way.

Find the saved prompts

  1. Open IQ Assistant, or click Ask IQ on any page. Before you type, the prompts that suit the page are offered under Try a prompt.

  2. Click a prompt to put it in the question box, or click Browse all for the whole library. The + menu in the question box opens it too, under Prompt library.

  3. Search the library or choose a category, then click Insert beside the prompt you want. Each prompt is marked Shared when your team can see it, or Personal when only you can.

The prompt goes into the question box, where you can change it before you press Enter.

Save a new prompt

  1. In the Prompt library, click New.

  2. Give it a Title your colleagues will recognise, and write the Prompt. Write [entity] where a company's name goes and [person] where a person's does.

  3. Choose an icon and a category. Leave Share with my organization on for a prompt the team should have, or switch it off to keep it to yourself.

  4. Click Save prompt.

How the blanks are filled

You insert the prompt What happens to [entity]
On a company's page The company's name is put in for you
On a person's page [person] is filled with their name
Anywhere else Fill in the prompt asks you to choose, then Insert prompt

Any other word in square brackets, such as [year end], is asked for in the same window as text.

Tips from practice

  • Save the prompt only once it has given a good answer twice. A prompt that worked once may have been lucky.
  • Write the prompt as an instruction with a shape for the answer: "Group the tasks by who they are assigned to" is what makes the answer usable.
  • Anyone who can see a shared prompt can delete it with the bin beside it, so agree in the team who looks after the library.
