Work on your records from Claude

Use Claude, or another AI tool that speaks MCP, to look up and change your records as you, with each change visible.

Screenshots are retaken from IQ Entities on every release. Updated 14 October 2026.

If your day is spent in Claude rather than in IQ Entities, you can bring the records to it: ask Claude which companies have a filing due, or have it add a registration while you draft the covering email. Claude reaches your organisation through an MCP connection that signs in as you, and it uses the same actions IQ uses inside IQ Entities.

Connect Claude once

  1. Open Settings from the menu under your name, choose Connect to Claude (MCP) and click New connection.

  2. Add the connection in Claude by following the steps under Add IQ Entities to Claude. Connect Claude to IQ Entities goes through each step.

Ask in Claude

Ask as you would ask IQ, naming the companies, because Claude has no page in IQ Entities to take the scope from:

Using IQ Entities, list the Northwind companies with a confirmation statement due before 30 November 2026, and who each task is assigned to.

Tips from practice

  • Check Claude's setting for tools that change data before a session of updates, and keep it asking for changes.
  • Read the organisation named on each answer when you belong to several. A connection works only in the organisation it was created in.
  • Review the day's changes in the audit trail filtered to MCP; see Review the audit trail.
  • Revoke a connection on the same settings page when a laptop is replaced.
