Name the team for an entity
Record who looks after an entity, in your team and among outside advisers, on its Team & Access page.
Screenshots are retaken from IQ Entities on every release. Updated 14 October 2026.
When a question comes in about a company, the first thing anyone needs to know is who looks after it. Team & Access lists the people responsible for an entity, from your own team and from outside firms, and who else has been given access to it. Opening it needs permission to manage members.
Add someone to the team
Open the entity and choose Team & Access in its sidebar. On the Team tab, click Add member.
Enter their Name and Role, such as Company Secretary or Finance Director, and choose the Group:
They are Group The person who looks after this entity Owner Someone in your team who supports it Administrator Outside counsel, accountants or other advisers External advisor Add their Firm and Email if useful, and On the team since: when they started looking after the entity. Click Add member.
The team is grouped by Owners, Administrators and External advisors, and every change to it is audited.
See who else has access
The Access tab lists anyone outside your organisation who has been given access to this entity, with what they can see and when it expires. Members of your organisation reach the entity through their role and are not listed there. See Give an outside adviser access.
Tips from practice
- A team member is a record of who is responsible, not a sign-in. Adding someone here does not give them access to IQ Entities.
- Update the team when someone hands a company over, and set On the team since for the new owner, so the history shows who was responsible when.
