Switch to another organisation
Move between the organisations you belong to, such as your own company and a client's, without signing out.

Some people belong to more than one organisation in IQ Entities: a company secretarial firm working for several clients, or a group secretary with access to a joint venture's records. Each organisation's entities, people and documents are kept apart, and you work in one at a time.
The organisation switcher appears only when you belong to more than one organisation.
Switch organisation
Click the organisation's name at the very top of the sidebar, above the scope switcher.
Choose the organisation to move to. The list shows your role in each one, and a tick against the one you are in. Type part of a name or a role to narrow a long list.
IQ Entities opens that organisation's dashboard.
Create another organisation
Before you create one, ask whether you need it. Nothing is shared between organisations: not entities, documents, templates, the compliance calendar, the structure chart or reporting. To keep clients or subsidiaries apart while still seeing one calendar and one structure chart, use entity groups in the organisation you have; see Assign requirements to a group.
Click your name at the foot of the main sidebar, choose Administration, then Organizations. The page lists every organisation you belong to, with your role in each.
Click New organization, read the warning, enter the Name, and click Create organization. You are its administrator.
Switch to the new organisation from the top of the sidebar, then invite people and add its entities there.
You need permission to manage the organisation's settings to create one.
Tips from practice
- Your role belongs to the organisation, not to you: you can be an administrator in your own firm and a member in a client's.
- A connection to Claude or another AI tool works in the organisation it was created in only. Create one in each organisation you want it to reach. See Connect Claude to IQ Entities.
- Check the name at the top of the sidebar before you record anything, especially when two clients' companies have similar names.
