Decide what complete data means
Choose which checks count toward each entity's data completeness score, jurisdiction by jurisdiction, and add checks of your own.
Screenshots are retaken from IQ Entities on every release. Updated 14 October 2026.
Each entity's Data Completeness page scores its record against a checklist: incorporation date, registered address, at least one director and so on. The standard checklist suits most groups. Yours may differ: a filing time zone you never use, a board that must always have two directors, a risk rating your compliance team expects on every company. Tuning the checklist makes the score mean what your organisation means by complete.
Choose the jurisdiction
In Administration, open Data Completeness. The picker starts on Universal (all jurisdictions), the checks every entity is scored against. Choose a jurisdiction to tune the checks for entities there.
Adjust the standard checks
Tick Disabled on a check that should not count toward the score.
For a check that counts records, such as directors or share classes, raise Minimum required to the number your organisation expects.
Add a check of your own
Under Custom checks, choose Add check.
Give the check a Label, choose the Category it is grouped under on the entity's completeness page, and choose its Kind:
The record is complete when… Kind A standard field is filled Entity field set It has at least a number of related records Minimum related records Its articles or constitution are recorded Articles / constitution present One of your own custom fields is filled Custom field filled A document with a given tag is on file Document on file (by tag) Then pick what it checks and choose Add check.
Check the result and save
The Resolved checklist shows the checks that will count: disabled ones struck through, raised minimums beside their check, and your own marked Custom.
Choose Save. Nothing changes for your entities until you do, and Reset discards the changes since the last save.
Tips from practice
- Set the universal checklist first, then adjust only the jurisdictions that differ, so most entities are scored the same way.
- Disable a check rather than leaving it to drag every score down. A score nobody can reach stops being read.
- Pair each custom field your compliance team relies on with a Custom field filled check, so a blank one shows up as a gap: see Add a custom field.
