Let IQ apply what it reads

Choose which kinds of proposal IQ may write to the register without a reviewer, and how confident it has to be.

Screenshots are retaken from IQ Entities on every release. Updated 14 October 2026.

When a document is uploaded, IQ reads it and proposes changes to the register: a new address, a director's appointment, a share movement. Each proposal waits in the review queue until somebody accepts it. Once a team trusts what IQ reads for a particular kind of record, that review is time spent confirming what is already right. Review automation lets IQ apply those proposals itself, one category at a time. The question that decides it is how much a wrong entry in that category would cost you.

Automate a category

  1. Click your name at the foot of the main sidebar, choose Administration, then Review Automation. Every category starts with Every proposal waits for a reviewer.

  2. Click Automate beside the category.

  3. Set the confidence threshold with the slider. A proposal that clears it is applied without review; anything below it still waits in the queue. The switch beside it pauses the rule, and the bin removes it.

The rule takes effect on the next upload. Nothing already in the review queue moves.

Category A sensible start
Addresses, Company details Automate at a high threshold once a few weeks of reviews show IQ reading them correctly
Directors & Officers, Cap table, Share movements Keep reviewing: an error here changes who runs or owns a company

What is never automated

Some proposals always wait for a person, whatever the rules say: anything two documents disagree about or that contradicts a record already in IQ Entities, a quote IQ could not find in the document it cites, values filled in from a registry or web search, proposals with no confidence score, and anything that would create a second record no rule covers.

Tips from practice

  • Start with one low-risk category and a high threshold, then lower it as the Applied automatically list shows the entries are right.
  • Check Applied automatically after a bulk upload. It lists every record a rule wrote without review, newest first.
  • Revisit the thresholds when you start uploading a new kind of document, such as another jurisdiction's filings, until you have seen how IQ reads it.
