Connect Claude to IQ Entities
Let Claude, or another AI tool that speaks MCP, work with your organisation's records as you, within your own permissions.
Screenshots are retaken from IQ Entities on every release. Updated 14 October 2026.
If you already work in Claude, you can let it look up and update your organisation's records directly: list the dormant companies, check a director's appointments, add a registration. The connection signs in as you, so Claude can do exactly what you can do in IQ Entities and nothing more.
Create a connection
Open Settings from the menu under your name at the foot of the sidebar, then choose Connect to Claude (MCP).
Click New connection.
Give it a Name you will recognise later, such as the tool and the organisation, and click Create.
The connection appears in the list with the organisation it works in, when it was created and when it was last used. Click Copy beside its address to copy it.
Add it to Claude
In Claude, go to Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
Paste the connection's address.
Expand Advanced settings and paste the OAuth Client ID shown on the IQ Entities page. It is not a secret, and it saves Claude a registration step that sometimes fails.
Sign in with your IQ Entities account when Claude asks, and approve the access.
Ask Claude about your organisation. The page lists these steps too, under Add IQ Entities to Claude.
Any other AI tool that speaks MCP over HTTP connects the same way, with the connection's address. To check a connection before you add it, Test it first (optional) on the same page shows how to open it in the MCP Inspector, which runs the same sign-in and lists the tools.
Stop a connection
- Click Revoke beside the connection. It stops working on its very next request.
Tips from practice
- A connection works in the organisation it was created in only. If you belong to several, create one in each; see Switch to another organisation.
- Name each connection after the tool and the machine it is on, so you know which one to revoke when a laptop is replaced.
- If your organisation's plan does not include MCP access, the page says so. Talk to your account manager.
- Changes Claude makes are recorded in the audit trail under your name, with MCP as their source, so they can be told apart from changes made in the browser.
