Customise the dashboard
Add, resize, move and remove the cards on your organisation's dashboard, for everyone in the organisation at once.
Screenshots are retaken from IQ Entities on every release. Updated 14 October 2026.
When the team's work changes, the dashboard should change with it: a year end coming up, a new review process, a push to close data gaps. The dashboard has one layout for the whole organisation, so the person who customises it is choosing what every colleague sees first.
Customising needs the permission to manage layouts. Without it, Customise is greyed out and its tooltip names the access to ask for.
Start customising
On the Dashboard, click Customise.
A bar appears along the foot of the page, naming the organisation the layout is saved for. Click Add card to choose a new card.
Add a card
Choose a category on the left, or search for a card by name.
Click a card to add it to the end of the dashboard, or drag it to where you want it.
Arrange the cards
- Move a card by dragging it, or focus it and press ⌘← or ⌘→.
- Resize a card from its options button at the top right: the Size choices list the widths that card supports.
- Remove a card with Remove card in the same menu, or focus it and press ⌘⌫.
Save for everyone
Click Save. The new layout is what everyone in the organisation sees from then on.
To leave without saving, click Discard. To go back to the layout IQ Entities started with, click Reset to default.
Tips from practice
- Agree the layout with the team before you save: moving a card moves it on every colleague's screen.
- If a colleague saved the dashboard while you were customising it, your Save is refused with Someone else changed the dashboard, so neither of you overwrites the other without knowing.
- A dashboard holds a limited number of cards. When it is full, the card window says so; remove a card to add another.
- Cards a colleague's role cannot read are hidden from them, not shown empty, so one layout can serve the whole team. See Read the dashboard.
